A pay-per-click job advertising network has been launched by Indeed, an online search engine for jobs, enabling employers, recruiters and job boards to promote advertisements to millions of users.
Vacancies are advertised on Indeed.com and the company's network of websites, which includes About.com, Boston.com and the NY Times Job Market, with sponsored jobs priced per click. Jobs are listed in addition to a free inclusion in the natural search results of Indeed.com and advertisers can choose a daily or monthly budget for their job advertising campaign.
Indeed uses the details of job descriptions to place sponsored jobs above and below the unpaid natural search results and enables advertisers to sponsor jobs without the need to write advertising copy or select keywords. Indeed's Publisher Program allows the Indeed Jobroll customised and geo-coded listing to be displayed by webmasters and bloggers, updating sites with the most recent jobs from Indeed.com and providing revenue from Jobroll clicks.
Indeed said its job advertising network is easier to use than search engine keyword advertising and claimed it is the first of its type, differing from the usual pay-per-listing classified and pay-per-click keyword advertising systems. |
